At the event, Mr. Pham Ha, CEO of LuxGroup, shared: “Like gourds and pumpkins, though different, we share the same trellis.” Reflecting the spirit of solidarity that has been ingrained in the company’s development, LuxGroup recognized the urgency of the severe water shortage faced by the residents. Despite the challenging road to Ha Giang following the flood on June 10th, the team quickly set out to deliver these loving gifts, hoping to alleviate some of the difficulties faced by the community.

Mr. Ha also stated that this event marks the beginning of the “Water Tank Donation for the People of Ha Giang’s Rocky Plateau” project initiated by LuxGroup – This initiative aligns with the pioneering spirit towards sustainable development that Mr. Ha has advocated. To affirm their commitment to this development, Mr. Pham Ha established the “LuxGroup Foundations,” a fund designed to support the community. This fund will deduct 5% of the company’s revenue from tourism services to Ha Giang to address the severe water shortages in the communes of the rocky plateau, especially during the dry season (from September to December) when residents have to walk many kilometers to fetch water.

At the donation event, Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh, Secretary of Sa Phin commune, expressed his gratitude to LuxGroup and the benefactors, emphasizing that these 1,200-liter water tanks will significantly contribute to meeting the residents’ daily water needs.

Mrs. Dinh Thi Say, a resident of Lung Thau hamlet, shared her joy, saying that from now on she will no longer have to walk nearly ten kilometers to fetch water every day. “From now on, I no longer have to worry about water shortages during the dry season,” Mrs. Say said.
